As I grow older I become more convinced with each passing day that it is indeed true that for evil and injustice to succeed in this world, the only thing that is needed is for good men (and women) to sit in quietude and do or say absolutely nothing. When we know that we are standing on the side of TRUTH, we need to be resolute in our stand and not have to always be apologetic to the ne’er-do-well of the world who bask in incessantly causing strive and derision over even minuscule matters.

The real crux of the matter is that there are too many people in the world today who are comfortable and complacent with the vast lies that are told, and are over zealous in rejecting even the smallest thread of truth. Why? Because the guilty tend to use lies as their defense shield in a battle that they KNOW they will eventually lose, but TRUTH immediately brings to light their misdeeds and craftiness and exposes them for who they are.

If we have offered an apology for any wrong(s) which we knowingly have committed, and that apology is rejected, then we have done our part. We need not continue to beg for meat from the tables of the churlish who offer us nothing more than their table scraps or rotten meat, but rather we need to move on and enjoy the luscious meat that is offered at the tables of the appreciative.

Indeed our communication with one another needs to be civil and respectful, and we must speak truth in the spirit of humility. However, after we have made our stand for what we know to be TRUE, we MUST continue to STAND and be unequivocal and unapologetic for the stand which we take.

Remember that evil can only run its course so long as good people continue to say and do absolutely nothing. The good news is that in the end, evil will be rendered powerless, and TRUTH will reign triumphant. Until that day, we must continue to do our part to be the beacon of light and truth on the hill for all the world to see.
